M.S.C.A AWARDS CRITERIA
BEST M.S.C.A CLUB:
This award will be won by the M.S.C.A. Club whose members accumulate the highest number of points during the year of the Super Sprint Series. Points at these events will be given as such:
5 points for 1st in class; 4 pts for 2nd etc down to 5th place which earns 1 point. All competitors qualify for points towards Club trophy - you don't need to complete all official timed laps during the year.
BEST M.S.C.A. CLUB DISPLAY: To be awarded to the M.S.C.A. Club presenting their members cars in the best manner at the M.S.C.A. Trophy Presentation Day. The judging panel will comprise of one member from each participating Club and he/she will be exempt from voting for their own Club.
SPRINT CHAMPION:
Using the 5 points for 1st etc as above, the Sprint Champion will be the M.S.C.A. member accumulating the highest score over the Super Sprint Series held at the Mallala Motor Sport Park, completing all official times laps to qualify and allowing to drop their worst round (which includes rounds they don't compete in). To be eligible you must compete in minimum of 3 out of 4 rounds.
Points will be awarded for any class placing 1st to 5th and not for an outright placing. In the event of a tie, the most consistent driver, as determined by the Sprint Driver Awards will win.
SPRINT DRIVER:
This award is contested over the Super Sprint Series and is award to the most consistent driver. This award can not be won by the Sprint Champion in the same year and candidates for this award will drop their worst round (which includes rounds they don't compete in) but must complete all official timed laps to qualify and compete in a minimum of 3 out of 4 rounds.
Consistency for this award is calculated by taking each driver's fastest time from their slowest time and dividing the difference by the number of laps completed in each round. These figures are then totalled for the eligible rounds and the lowest score being the winner.
CLASS AWARDS:
An overall Class Award will be given to the M.S.C.A. member accumulating the highest score for their class completing all official laps of the day allowing them to drop their worst round for the series (which included rounds they don't compete in) but must compete in a minimum of 3 out of 4 rounds.
